First operating session on the new Sleepy Hollow
The layout is finally far enough along, I can host an operating session.
It's an eventful session since it ended in a minor train wreck. The post session analysis revealed it to be operator error.
A switch was left thrown in a crossover position to the outside track, which led to the collision .
All in all, it was still a successful test of the layout, and a fun session.
Grades and Bridges

The Grades are done, and the bridges are installed. I am happy with the final track placement, and the basic wiring has been completed.
I think I'm ready to run trains!
Plywood and Track

I have the plywood in position and it is screwed down. As you can see in the lower picture, I have finished putting the track down.
Now l have to mark around the track and cut out for the grades.
At this point the hardest part of that will be removing the track in sections to move it to safety while I use a router to cut the plywood along the lines, cookie cutter style.
